Window Printing project at the newly renovated Sanders Building at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.

Context: The Sanders building is home of the Erasmus School of Law founded by Piet Sanders who also lay the foundation of the renowned art collection of the University. The sober minimalist office building from the 1990s was originally designed by Wim Quist. Jo Coenen transformed it by bringing in light and transparency. The work was realized in the seven large meeting rooms on the different floors of the building.
Source material: Illustrations of the ’emblematum liber’ by 16th century jurist Andrea Alciato. The book laid the foundation of the new literary genre of emblem books.
