JUNCTO
A window-printing project at the Kamerlingh Onnes Building of the University of Leiden. The project intertwines the history of the building as physics lab with the origins of the Law Faculty, the oldest of the Netherlands. Visually referencing a technical drawing of Kamerlingh Onnes’ famous helium liquifactor and late 17th century etchings by Romeyn de Hooghe intended to help the law students of the early days of the Law School, to memorize the Digest, an important compendium of juristic writings on Roman law. A third visual element is inspired by the ways of note taking of contemporary students to point out connections between different articles of law using colorful post-it tabs.
